Futsal emphasises technique, creativity, improvisation and ball control. Futsal is often played more aggressively than soccer. If you’re playing defense, keep your eye on the ball and always be looking for an opportunity to steal it away from the other team if the attacker loses control. Just like in soccer, futsal players can not use their hands at all. However, you can use any other part of your body to pass or shoot the ball. If the ball goes over the goal line or touchline, hits the ceiling, or the play is stopped by the referee, the ball is out of play.

Under the Futsal Laws of the Game, Law 11 references offside as it does in association football, but only says that there is no offside in futsal.
